The COcyber Fireside Chat “Civilian–Defence Cyber Coordination: Fueling Digital and Defence Innovation through Startups, Scaleups and Corporates” took place on 15 October 2025 in Brussels, tackling how cybersecurity collaboration between the civilian and defence sectors can drive dual-use innovation and strengthen Europe’s strategic autonomy.
This edition highlights new progress within the project - from the new deliverable Guidelines on Cybersecurity Civil-Defence Cooperation and our upcoming event in Brussels to updates from the COcyber platform and Ambassador Programme - alongside selected insights from the wider European cybersecurity field.
This public deliverable is part of COcyber's Work Package (WP) 4, “Know-how, good practice sharing, and information transfer activities,” and brings together research and evidence on how Europe’s civilian and defence cybersecurity sectors can cooperate more effectively.
We’re opening the final call for ambassadors to join the COcyber network from December 2025 to May 2026. Following the success of the first two batches, this last round aims to bring the programme to a total of 27 professionals strengthening Europe’s cybersecurity resilience.
COcyber has launched a survey in Hungary, Lithuania, Slovenia, and Spain to map barriers and opportunities in cybersecurity technology transfer. Findings will shape national case studies that support EU policymaking on dual-use and cross-sector collaboration
This edition marks COcyber’s first anniversary, introduces our new Ambassador cohort, shares insights from the June General Assembly, presents two new deliverables, and highlights the latest tools, events, and EU cybersecurity developments.
To address growing cybersecurity threats and bridge the gap between civilian and defence sectors, the COcyber project has launched a practical toolkit designed to streamline and professionalise knowledge-sharing activities across Europe.
