At the event “Combatting Fraud in the Digital Age”, our Scientific Lead Georges Ataya presented COcyber’s perspective on bridging fraud prevention and cybersecurity resilience. He emphasized the importance of regulatory alignment, sector cooperation, and long-term investment in cybersecurity capabilities.

COcyber took part in GITEX EUROPE to present the project, highlight the AI Cybersecurity Deephack as a tangible outcome, and engage with stakeholders working across civil and defence innovation. COcyber participated in the InCyber Forum 2025 in Lille to present its approach to dual-use cybersecurity collaboration. Consortium partners were present at the EU Pavilion with booths and presentations, connecting with stakeholders and introducing the upcoming COcyber Deephack.

This report presents the Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal and Environmental (PESTEL) analysis of the whole cybersecurity sector (both on the defence and civilian sides) to identify aspects affecting cyber governance and the development of cybersecurity technology and information transfer in Europe. It will inform all stakeholders about the gaps and opportunities in Europe’s cybersecurity sector and help design coherent policy recommendations.

In November 2024, EIT Digital hosted a capsule training programme where European professionals from deep-tech ventures met for networking and learning about new opportunities for their businesses. COcyber was presented as a part of the programme.

Georges Ataya represented COcyber at ATEC 2024 to engage with stakeholders on European security and defence training. He highlighted COcyber’s initiatives, including public consultations, to strengthen collaboration in addressing cybersecurity challenges.
