COcyber Policy-Oriented Workshop on Preliminary Policy Recommendations: Follow up
The COcyber Policy-Oriented Workshop on Preliminary Policy Recommendations, held on 21 April 2026, was a highly valuable and successful step in the project’s policy validation process.

The event brought together stakeholders from the cybersecurity ecosystem to examine COcyber’s emerging recommendations for strengthening cooperation between the civilian and defence spheres in Europe. Building on the previous policy workshops, the session generated rich discussion on the practical implementation of policy recommendations on the strategic dimensions of civil–defence cyber coordination.
Participants provided insightful feedback on the robustness, feasibility, and prioritisation of the recommendations, helping to identify where further clarification, stronger implementation support, and more targeted EU action may be needed. The quality of the exchanges confirmed both the relevance of the themes addressed by the preliminary policy recommendations, including governance, trusted information-sharing, skills, legal clarity, innovation, and resilience.
The workshop marked an important milestone toward the finalisation of the COcyber policy recommendations, which will be further refined ahead of the project’s final hybrid policy workshop in Brussels on 19 May 2026.
