In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, Europe faces diverse cybersecurity challenges that demand coordinated, multi-stakeholder responses. The COcyber project aims to meet these challenges by creating a unified, trusted space for information sharing and collaboration among stakeholders across Europe’s civilian and defence sectors. At the heart of COcyber’s mission is developing a Cybersecurity Observatory and COcyber Platform, a comprehensive resource designed to bridge the gap between various actors, foster knowledge exchange, and support Europe’s cybersecurity resilience.
The COcyber Platform is designed as a central hub for information, resources, and coordination tools that will empower stakeholders to work together on shared cybersecurity goals. Built in line with European Commission guidelines to ensure usability and sustainability, this platform includes sections for data gathering, public communications, and cooperative activities, all aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of cross-sector collaboration. As the official project website, the platform will also contain essential project information, upcoming events, and high-impact activities, creating a one-stop resource for all things related to COcyber.
A key component of the platform is integrating relevant resources and outputs from other EU cybersecurity initiatives. By connecting the COcyber Platform to existing projects and best practices, COcyber ensures that stakeholders benefit from a comprehensive and continuously updated view of the European cybersecurity landscape. This integration will transform the platform into a central point for information on civilian-defence cooperation in cybersecurity, with features like an interactive map of EU cybersecurity projects and initiatives to enhance visibility and accessibility.
The Observatory as a key section of the COcyber Platform, serves as a dynamic online space for collecting and organising a wide array of cybersecurity intelligence, covering everything from technology transfers to funding opportunities and governance structures. By mapping and categorising relevant data from national, EU, and international sources, the observatory helps centralise critical information that often remains fragmented or inaccessible. This includes insights on dual-use technologies, procurement processes, and the activities of key players and authorities across Member States and international organisations. By consolidating this information, the observatory enables strategic foresight, allowing European stakeholders to anticipate better and address emerging threats.
