From April 1st to April 3rd, COcyber participated in Forum InCyber Europe (FIC) 2025 - the leading European event for digital security and trust - held at the Lille Grand Palais in France. The forum brought together a wide range of cybersecurity professionals, public and private stakeholders, and key industry players, making it an ideal stage for dissemination, dialogue, and discovery.

COcyber' s presence was marked by a joint effort from three of its project partners, who represented the initiative through two booths in the EU Pavilion area:

EIT Digital – Booth E29-14
European Organisation for Security (EOS) – Booth E29-9

Throughout the three days, the COcyber Secretariat and partners engaged  with a    high  number of stakeholders. The forum was a valuable  experience to  connect with a large  number of actors in the cybersecurity sphere, reaffirming the importance of projects  touching ground and interacting directly with  the ecosystem. It also served  as the ideal theatre to disseminate the ucoming COcyber Deephack and pitch the project's vision for a collaborative European cybersecurity landscape.

A key highlight of the forum was the strong interest shown in COcyber’s ambition  to  build a  collaboration framework for cybersecurity experts operating  in two different  domains—  civilian and defence. This concept sparked curiosity and conversation,  with many visitors  stopping by the booths to learn more  about how COcyber aims to  bridge this gap. It was  clear from these interactions that the project resonates with real needs and ongoing challenges in  the cybersecurity field.

COcyber was also featured in two engaging sessions on the EU Pavilion  stage:

April 1, 15:00–15:30 – Kristian Reeson from EOS presented COcyber’s mission, vision, and objectives, providing insight into the project’s impact and future direction.

April 1, 16:00–16:30 – Alessandra Zini from EIT Digital continued the momentum with a dedicated presentation on the project.

These sessions were instrumental in framing COcyber’s work within the broader European efforts to boost resilience against cyberattacks and advance dual-use cybersecurity technologies. At the same time, insightful talks from national representatives helped us see both the potential and the complexity of this mission, particularly in terms of data and information sharing practices, which continue to present obstacles to effective collaboration.

Throughout the forum, The Lisbon Council was also actively engaged in discussions and networking, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the consortium.

A big thank you to all COcyber partners for the joint effort in organising these exciting and impactful three days. The momentum from Lille strengthens our mission and inspires the next phases of our journey to a more secure and resilient Europe.
