Description

This COcyber event, organised by our partner IVSZ, will bring together experts from academia, industry and cybersecurity practice to examine the growing impact of hybrid threats on both civilian and defence domains.

As geopolitical tensions and rapid technological developments reshape the cyber threat landscape, the session will provide a structured, expert-level overview of emerging risks, interdependencies between civilian and defence sectors, and the practical implications for cybersecurity resilience and digital sovereignty.

The seminar will focus on cybersecurity innovation across civilian and defence spheres, highlighting how evolving threats, including disinformation, deepfakes and advanced cyber operations, require coordinated, cross-sector responses. Particular attention will be given to defence innovation, privacy-enhancing technologies and real-world applications of emerging cybersecurity solutions.

Building on insights from the COcyber project, the session aims to translate research findings into actionable knowledge, supporting professionals and decision-makers in identifying effective response strategies and strengthening resilience against hybrid threats.

The event is designed for cybersecurity professionals, private sector representatives, SMEs, start-ups, and academic and research institutions seeking to deepen their understanding of current cyber risks and practical mitigation approaches.

Participation is in person and tailored to a targeted professional audience, ensuring high-quality dialogue and engagement
