COcyber High-Level Technology Roundtable: Building Defence-Civilian Synergies: the future of European cybersecurity

COcyber will bring key actors together in Brussels on 29 January 2026 for a high-level roundtable dedicated to Defence–Civilian Synergies. The session will open a focused conversation on how Europe strengthens cooperation between civilian and defence sectors and moves toward a more resilient cybersecurity ecosystem.

The discussion will build on the main insights from the COcyber Needs Assessment and will look at the most immediate opportunities for joint action. The roundtable will explore themes such as:

• stronger pathways for civil–defence cooperation in cybersecurity
• the “low-hanging fruit” that Europe can activate quickly
• COcyber deliverables that support coordination and knowledge-sharing
• best practices and examples from dual-use technologies
• future directions for European collaboration and community-building

A keynote and panel conversations will guide the day, followed by an open exchange on impact, deployment, and the next steps for joint European action. 

A networking moment will close the event and create space for new connections across sectors.
