Description

WHEN: Thursday, 19 March 2026, 09:00 - 14:30
WHERE: In-person, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, Hall A

Objective:

To support COcyber’s mission by bringing together industry, research and innovation actors, and the public sector (including policymakers) to strengthen cooperation and knowledge exchange between civilian and defence cybersecurity communities. The event will highlight how R&I cooperation, especially through RRI projects, helps turn cybersecurity ideas into solutions and good practices that can be adopted in practice.

It will also open a focused discussion on trustworthy AI governance in the context of cyber threats, with attention to cyber resilience and AI-enabled defence. Through expert inputs and moderated roundtables, the event will capture key lessons, identify concrete opportunities for collaboration, and encourage follow-up links among participants.

Details

The COcyber High-Level Roundtable will take place as a one-day, in-person conference hosted at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and co-organised with the initiative Women4Cyber Slovenia, as a multi-stakeholder dialogue on strengthening cyber resilience. The event will bring together industry, academia, research and innovation actors, and the public sector to support COcyber’s objectives of improving coordination, knowledge exchange and collaboration between civilian and defence-oriented cybersecurity communities.

The programme will combine short expert inputs with two moderated roundtables. The first roundtable will focus on collaborative R&I - especially RRI projects, as a practical way to build partnerships and move cybersecurity innovation and good practices into real use. The roundtable will include COcyber as a case example, drawing on project experience in cross-sector (civil–defence) collaboration and knowledge transfer in cybersecurity. A State Secretary from the Slovenian Ministry of Digital Transformation is also confirmed for this first roundtable, ensuring a strong policy perspective alongside industry and academia representatives.

The second block will address governance and trust in artificial intelligence in the context of cyber threats, including implications for cyber resilience and AI-enabled defence. It will also conclude with a moderated discussion and audience Q&A to capture additional viewpoints and needs from participants.
