COcyber at GRC: Be Connected! Lustrum Event

COcyber participated in the "GRC: Be Connected! Lustrum Event," held on March 27, 2025, at VBO FEB in Brussels. The event was organized by the Cyber Security Coalition, ISACA Belgium Chapter, and supported by the Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management, bringing together experts and professionals in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).

Professor Georges Ataya, Vice-Chair of the Belgian Cyber Security Coalition and scientific lead of COcyber, opened the event with a welcome address and introduced the day's program. He also moderated the panel titled "Insightful Metrics in GRC," featuring Freddy Dezeure, Peter Debasse, Tatiana Postil, and Diogo Cabral Figueiredo, discussing how governance metrics can strengthen cybersecurity and compliance practices.
The event included keynote speeches such as "The CISO Function in the Face of AI: The State of Play" by Niels Torisaen of NVISO and "The Changing CISO Role" by Jon France from the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC)². Another panel discussion, moderated by Sergio Tringali of ISACA Europe, explored the evolving roles within GRC.
Allan Boardman from CyberAdvisor London delivered a closing keynote on "AI, Cybersecurity, and Digital Trust: Engage, Embrace, Empower!" . The event concluded with a summary by Henk Dujardin, CEO of the Cyber Security Coalition, and Egide Nzabonimana, President of ISACA Belgium Chapter, followed by a networking dinner where participants connected and discussed potential collaborations.
For COcyber, the event provided valuable insights and opportunities to engage with leading experts in the fields of cybersecurity and governance.
