COcyber Cybersphere Insights – May 2025
We’ve just released the third edition of Cybersphere Insights, sharing updates and progress from our project. As part of the EU Digital Europe Programme, COcyber is focused on strengthening collaboration between civilian and defence sectors to address Europe’s cybersecurity challenges.
This edition presents our upcoming online consultation event in June, where we’ll validate best practices for cybersecurity cooperation across civil and defence actors in the EU. It also covers the outcomes of the AI Cybersecurity Deephack 2025, which brought innovation, inclusion, and urgency to a dual-use cybersecurity challenge.
Looking ahead, COcyber will also be featured at GITEX Europe 2025, with participation from the Deephack’s winning team. Their presence will help showcase how collaborative approaches can drive applied cybersecurity innovation in both civilian and defence contexts.
The May issue reflects COcyber’s continued effort to turn insight into action—testing ideas, engaging communities, and strengthening Europe’s cybersecurity resilience. It also highlights developments from the wider field, including ENISA’s new European Vulnerability Database, a growing EU defence budget, and the World Economic Forum’s global guide on cyber resilience developed with Oxford’s GCSCC.
